n8n

Run Prospect Cheap searches from n8n with the built-in HTTP Request node — no community node needed.

1. Add your API key as a credential

  1. Create a key in Connections → API.
  2. In n8n, add a credential of type Header Auth: name Authorization, value Bearer pc_live_your_key.

2. Build the workflow

  1. Trigger — Schedule Trigger (e.g. every Monday 8:00), or Manual.
  2. HTTP Request — start the search: Method POST, URL https://prospectcheap.com/api/yelp/lists, Authentication → Generic Credential Type → Header Auth (your credential), Send Body → JSON:
    { "searchTerms": ["plumbers"], "locations": ["Austin, TX"], "maxPerSearch": 30 }
  3. Wait — 2 minutes.
  4. HTTP Request — check it: Method GET, URL https://prospectcheap.com/api/yelp/lists/{{ $('Start search').item.json.list.id }}?per=100 (use the name of your first HTTP node), same credential.
  5. IF — condition {{ $json.list.status }} is equal to completed. The false branch goes back to the Wait node (add a second IF on failed to stop).
  6. Split Out — field businesses (or leads, channels… for other sources), one item per lead.
  7. Your destination — Google Sheets, Airtable, HubSpot, Slack, your CRM…

More than 100 results

In the "check it" node, open Options → Pagination: mode "Update a Parameter in Each Request", parameter page (query) = {{ $pageCount + 1 }}, and stop when {{ $response.body.businesses.length < 100 }}. Or call Export CSV and use the file.

Only some leads

Add a filters query parameter, e.g. [{"field":"email","operator":"is_not_empty"}] — see Filter & Paginate.

Prefer an AI agent?

n8n's AI Agent node can use the MCP server (MCP Client Tool, URL https://prospectcheap.com/api/mcp, Bearer header) to search from natural-language instructions.
