Search for leads from ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor

The same Prospect Cheap MCP server works in other AI tools. Here is how to connect each one and what to ask.

The server

One address for every tool: https://prospectcheap.com/api/mcp. Tools that support sign-in open a Prospect Cheap approval page; others use an API key from Connections → API as Authorization: Bearer pc_live_….

ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, add a custom connector (in the settings for connectors / developer mode, depending on your plan) with the server URL above and sign in when asked. Then ask: "Use Prospect Cheap to find 25 dentists in Phoenix on Google Maps with emails."

Codex

Add the server in Codex's MCP configuration with the URL, and authenticate when prompted (or pass an API key header). Codex can then start searches and write the results into files in your project — handy for building lead lists into scripts.

Cursor

Open Settings → MCP → Add new server, choose a remote (HTTP) server and paste the URL. Sign in or add the API key header. Ask Cursor's agent to "pull 50 SaaS startups from TrustMRR with MRR over $5k and save them as JSON".

Useful prompts

  • "Find 40 HVAC companies in Dallas on Yelp; keep the ones with an owner name."
  • "Search Trustpilot for travel agencies in Germany with 100+ reviews."
  • "What's my Prospect Cheap credit balance?"

Good to know

  • Searches run in the background — the assistant checks back until they finish.
  • One credit per lead, same as the app.
  • The connection can't change your plan or billing.
