"It's too expensive."
"Understood. Compared with what one new {customer/patient/job} is worth to you, how would {price} need to pay back for it to make sense?"
Or offer a smaller first step: one page, one month, one campaign.
"We already have someone."
"Makes sense. Are you happy with the results, or is there anything you'd change?"
If they're happy, ask to stay in touch. Many "we have someone" become "we're switching" months later.
"Now isn't a good time."
"No problem — when would be better? I'll follow up then with something useful."
Log the date and follow up exactly then.
"Send me some information."
"Sure — so I send the right thing, is it {A} or {B} that matters more to you?"
Then send one short, specific email, not a brochure.
"How did you get my details?"
"Your business email is listed on your website. I work with {niche} businesses in {city}. If it's not useful, I won't contact you again."
"Not interested."
"Thanks for letting me know. Is it the timing or just not a priority?"
Respect the answer; remove them if they ask.
"We get all our work from referrals."
"That's great. When people are referred, do they look you up online before calling?"
