How email finders work
Give an email finder a name and company domain, and it predicts and checks the likely address (patterns like first@ or first.last@), often combined with addresses seen publicly. Many also verify the result.
Popular email finders
- Hunter — domain search and verification
- Snov.io — finding plus campaigns
- Findymail — verified B2B emails
- Anymail Finder — pay for verified results
- Skrapp and Kaspr — LinkedIn-based finding
When an email finder is the right tool
- you already have a list of companies or people
- you sell B2B and target specific job titles
- you need one or two specific addresses
When a lead scraper is better
- you don't have the list yet
- your prospects are local businesses, creators, advertisers or startups
- you want the owner's name, phones and socials as well
Prospect Cheap builds the list and finds emails in one step — for example, every dentist in Austin with the emails published on each practice's website and the owner's name.
What to compare
- find rate on your kind of prospects
- accuracy — how many found emails bounce
- cost per verified email
- workflow — bulk upload, extension, API
Test with 100 real prospects before committing.
Email finders and local businesses
Email finders work best on companies with consistent email patterns and a web presence in B2B data. Many local businesses don't fit that: they use a single info@ address, a Gmail account, or publish the owner's personal email only on their website. For these, scraping the business website — as Prospect Cheap does — usually finds more usable emails than guessing patterns.
