Before you start
Decide two things: what you are looking for and where. Yelp search works best with the words customers type — "emergency plumber" beats "plumbing services company". Cities, neighbourhoods and ZIP codes all work as locations.
Step 1: Open the Yelp Scraper
Sign in and choose Yelp Scraper in the sidebar.
Step 2: Add search terms
One per line, up to 20. Mix broad and specific terms:
plumbers
water heater installation
drain cleaning
Step 3: Add locations
One per line, up to 20 — for example Austin, TX, Round Rock, TX, 78701. Each term runs in each location, up to 100 searches in one go.
Step 4: Choose results per search
Yelp returns up to 240 businesses for a single search. Start with 30–50 to check the data, then go bigger.
Step 5 (optional): Paste Yelp links
Already found a Yelp search page or a list of business pages you like? Paste the links instead of terms and locations.
Step 6: Search and open the list
Press Search. The search shows as Scraping under Recent searches, then Completed. Open it to see a table you can search, filter and sort, with columns you can show or hide. Click any business for the full profile: owner, contacts, hours, service areas and website.
Filters that save time
- Has email — for cold email
- Has owner name or Has first & last name — for personal outreach and CRMs that need both names
- Rating under 4 — businesses that may want help with reviews
- Claimed on Yelp — owners who actively manage their page
Export or send
Export all, filtered or selected rows to CSV, or use Send to for GoHighLevel, Instantly, Smartlead or lemlist. Field mapping is handled for you — see how lead fields map to your CRM.
Tips for bigger lists
- Split big metros into suburbs and ZIP codes; each search has its own 240 cap.
- Use several close terms ("roofer", "roof repair", "roofing contractor") — results overlap less than you'd think, and duplicates within a search are removed.
- Run one niche per list so your messaging stays specific.
